Dr. Cuomo is an interventional cardiologist specializing in the management of coronary artery disease with angioplasty and stenting. She has a special interest in cardiovascular disease in women. She has performed extensive research involving percutaneous coronary artery intervention and door-to-balloon time outcomes.
Dr. Cuomo attended medical school at the University of Buffalo where she graduated with honors and was inducted to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her internship and residency at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell where she was selected to serve as assistant chief resident. Dr. Cuomo was accepted to an international research project at the world-renowned Royal Brompton Hospital in London. She conducted clinical research in the Adult Congenital Heart Unit under the guidance of Dr. Michael Gatzoulis. She then returned to New York to complete her general cardiology and interventional cardiology fellowships at New York Presbyterian Hospital-Cornell. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
