Exercise Laboratory

The exercise laboratory of Maria Fareri Children's Hospital evaluates how well a child tolerates exercise and how physical exertion impacts their cardiovascular system. Parents frequently seek out our services to learn why their child suffers from an exercise induced condition such as shortness of breath or palpitations.

Our laboratory evaluates children of all fitness levels, from backyard game players to elite athletes needing cardiac expertise. Our exercise laboratory staff often provide children with the confidence they need to enjoy childhood games and organized sports, while giving parents the peace of mind that their kids can participate in activities safely. For children with more serious conditions, we offer a specially designed program to help improve exercise tolerance and avoid risk-prone activities.
