MFCH Athletics Neighborhood

Welcome to the area’s newest neighborhood!  The Arlene and Arnold Goldstein Family Foundation Athletics Neighborhood is a nine-room addition to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center.  This new inpatient area will help our hospital care for 450-500 additional children each year.

The Athletics Neighborhood is bright, cheerful and celebrates children’s fitness.  Images of children playing and having fun adorn the walls.  It is our way of reminding children that they will soon get back to full activity.

Like the other inpatient units at the hospital, Athletics has single patient rooms with private bathrooms, showers and flat-screen televisions.  What’s more, an in-room couch converts into a bed so parents can stay with their child overnight.

The Athletics Neighborhood also has a comfortable Family Lounge where siblings, friends and family members can spend time when visiting a child they love.
