Westchester Medical Center is the university hospital of the New York Medical College Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program, offering training and specialization in the areas of gynecologic oncology and maternal-fetal medicine.  The program is integrated with training rotations at Metropolitan Hospital Center, providing a broad scope and depth of clinical experience in two unique settings.

About the Program

Westchester Medical Center provides a robust training ground for its residents, performing approximately 1200 deliveries per year, most of which are designated as high-risk. Residents receive intensive training in state-of-the-art prenatal diagnostic services, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and urogynecology.

Clinical training is focused on a commitment to primary care in women's health and each resident is assigned to a continuity team consisting of one resident and an attending at each level. Residents are assigned specific patients and clinic sessions over the course of their four year residency to provide patients with continuity of care and to foster development of physician-patient communication skills.
