Meet Our Director
 Dr. Kathryn McGoldrick is the Director of Anesthesiology and Vice President of the Medical Staff at Westchester Medical Center. She is also a professor and Chair of Anesthesiology at New York Medical College and the Anesthesiology Residency Program Director.
Dr. McGoldrick revieved her B.M.S. degree from Dartmouth College and an M.A. Privatum from Yale University. She received her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and after completing an internship in Pediatrics at The New York Hospital/Cornell Medical Center, she completed her residency in Anesthesiology at Brigham and Women's Hospital at Harvard Medical School. She completed a fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology at Children's Hospital Medical Center at Harvard Medical School.
An Accomplished Leader
Named one of the "best doctors in America" on numerous occasions, Dr. McGoldrick is an accomplished author and speaker, having been published in numerous medical journals and having written 76 book chapters and 14 books. In 2006, she received the David M. Little Prize from the Anesthesia History Association for a book she co-edited, titled The American Society of Anesthesiologists: A Century of Challenges and Progress.
Dr. McGoldricks has held numerous leadership positions including President of the Connecticut State Society of Anesthesiologists, President of the Board of Trustees of the Wood Library-Museum of Anesthesiology, and President of the Society for Ambulatory Anesthesia. She currently sits on the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and research and is a member of the executive board for The Academy of Anesthesiology
