Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship
Westchester Medical Center and New York Medical College offer a three-year training program in pediatric pulmonology, one of only about 40 such accredited programs in the United States. This is a rigorous fellowship designed for pediatricians who wish to dedicate their career to academic pediatric pulmonology.
About the Program
Our training program prepares pediatricians for an academic career in pediatric pulmonology. It is expected that a graduate of this fellowship will be equipped to diagnose and manage all acute and chronic respiratory diseases of childhood. Equally important, a graduate will be able to conduct independent research and to teach at all levels. The highest priority will be placed on training persons with critical attitudes who will be capable of assuming the roles of pediatric pulmonary clinicians, teachers and scholars.
The field of Pediatric Pulmonology is a broad one and New York Medical College and its affiliated hospital, Westchester Medical Center, offer a vast panorama of clinical and research opportunities. To optimize the educational experience, each fellow is encouraged to take an active role in conjunction with the program director in designing his own program.
