Radiology Services

The Department of Radiology at Westchester Medical Center provides a full spectrum of services designed to address a broad array of diagnostic imaging and image-guided therapy needs.

We provide a full range of services, including:

• Pediatric Radiology
  The department features advanced technology including reduced dose imaging for our pediatric patients. We offer the full gamut of CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine and Interventional and Neuro-interventional procedures. 


• MRI
  The department features the most advanced Philips 3T and 1.5T MRI units located in a new, state-of-the-art suite adjacent to the Emergency Department in the Maria Ferrari Children's Hospital. The department offers the most advanced Neurological, Body and Musculoskeletal applications. 


• CT
  The Department provides the latest CT applications via a newly installed, advanced 64 channel CT scanner adjacent to the Emergency Department and 64 and 16 channel Philips CT scanners in the Main Department. The department offers the full range of CT services including thoracic, abdominal, pelvic, neurological, cardiovascular and musculoskeletal imaging supported by advanced 3D technology. CT guided biopsies and interventional procedures are also offered.


• Ultrasound
  The Department features state-of-the-art Ultrasound technology and provides the full gamut of Ultrasound services including abdominal, pelvic, vascular, thoracic, and neonatal brain imaging including portable, bedside examinations. The full range of vascular access, biopsies and interventional procedures performed under Ultrasound guidance are also offered. 


• Diagnostic X-ray
  The Department offers comprehensive x-ray services including gastrointestinal and genitourinary flouroscopy and features digital imaging technology.


• Interventional Radiology
  The department offers around the clock, comprehensive Vascular, Body and Neuro-interventional services. Our Interventional Radiologists utilize cutting-edge technology to perform minimally invasive interventions including chemo-embolization cancer treatment, biliary and renal interventions, vascular stenting, uterine fibroid embolization and the full gamut of Neuro-interventions including aneurysm coiling, AVM treatment, and stroke interventions.  


• Nuclear Medicine
  Comprehensive Nuclear Medicine services including advanced, targeted cancer therapy.


• Radiology patients requiring anesthesia
  The department, in conjunction with anesthesiology provides the full range of studies requiring anesthesia including interventional procedures, pediatric and adult MRI, and pediatric imaging and interventions.
