Medical Center’s largest annual fundraiser honored two outstanding physicians and paid tribute to local community supporters
Westchester Medical Center (WMC) held it’s 33rd Annual Medical Center Gala on June 2, 2012. This year, the Annual Gala was held at the Caramoor estate in Katonah, NY—a wonderful garden setting and a treasured resource that has become a cornerstone of cultural life in Westchester County.
This year the Medical Center Foundation honored two outstanding physicians for their dedication and commitment to Westchester Medical Center, Steven L. Lansman, M.D., Ph.D., Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery Westchester Medical Center; Professor of Surgery, New York Medical College and Leonard Newman, MD, Attending Pediatric Gastroenterologist Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital at Westchester Medical Center Professor and Chairman of Pediatrics New York Medical College.
In addition, a special Community Service Award was presented to Swiss Re Group, a dedicated community supporter of Westchester Medical Center and Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital..
This year as in the past, the Annual Gala has helped raise funds for the Westchester Medical Center Foundation a 501 (c) (3) which supports the mission of the Medical Center through philanthropic endeavors.
