Hurricane Sandy
Dear Friend:
As the region begins to recover from the devastation of Superstorm Sandy, we want to acknowledge the wonderful support and amazing work of so many at Westchester Medical Center (WMC), our Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and Behavioral Health Center.
Before, during and after the storm our dedicated staff, volunteers and others worked throughout this emergency to keep our patients safe, secure and comfortable. Many of these individuals remained on site for an extended period of time, even while dealing with their own personal storm challenges. Their service is a wonderful example of what makes WMC the exceptional organization that it is.
We would also like to thank our patients and their families for choosing WMC and entrusting us with their care, during this particularly difficult time and every day.
Currently, WMC is assisting in supporting the needs of other healthcare facilities in the tri-state area affected by the storm. Our thoughts remain with those in our region who continue to deal with the storm's devastation.
We are very proud of our organization and the larger WMC community and our commitment to ensuring that Westchester Medical Center remains ready to help those who need us most.
