Making an Appointment

Westchester Medical Center offers advanced healthcare services in many specialty areas and accepts patients who seek treatment on their own or who are referred through their physician or another hospital. If you are not referred to Westchester Medical Center by another physician, please be sure you check with your insurance company to determine if specialty care will be covered—many insurance companies will not cover care or will only cover it at a reduced rate if you have not been referred by your treating physician.

Information for Transfer Patients

In the event that your care at Westchester Medical Center is initiated through another physician and requires urgent or same-day admission, we maintain a 24-hour Transfer Center to facilitate a seamless transfer from the treating physician or institution to Westchester Medical Center. Your physician will make be able to make all the arrangements with just one phone call.
