Charnetta Smith, M.D.

Dr. Charnetta Smith is an attending physician in the Division of General Obstetrics and Gynecology at Westchester Medical Center.  She is also an Assistant Professor at New York Medical College.   Originally from New York, Dr. Smith earned her BA in Child Development and Biomedical Engineering at Tufts University in 2003.  She then attended  medical school at the University of Connecticut (2004-2008). Her residency training was completed at New York Medical College/Westchester Medical Center (2008-2012) where she published a case report on Plasminogen Activator Inhibitor Deficiency and earned honors for her research on cholestasis of pregnancy.

 

 

Dr. Smith is fluent in Spanish, and loves to travel and experience new cultures.  Her clinical interests include providing care for high-risk pregnancies and taking care of underserved populations.
