Injury Prevention Program
The Trauma Program at Westchester Medical Center University Hospital is developing an Injury Prevention and Outreach Program designed to address both unintentional injuries (such as car accidents that result from texting and driving) and intentional injuries (such as violent confrontations).
This program is being developed based on the medical cases we see daily at Westchester Medical Center's Joel A. Halpern Trauma Center. While many of these injuries are not predictable, most are preventable. Some of the initiatives we are developing include:
Children and Teens
Adults and Families
As we develop these programs, we will update our website to provide information on where and when related events are being offered. Please bookmark our page and check back soon for updates.
If you have any questions, please contact Elizabeth Corcoran, Injury Prevention Coordinator, at (914) 493-5846 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
