More About Sleep Medicine

The Sleep Center includes specialists in Sleep Medicine, Pediatric Pulmonology (physicians that treat breathing disorders, including those that occur in sleep), and Pediatric Psychology, as well as a state of the art sleep laboratory.

Consultants are available in several specialties including Pediatric Neurology and Pediatric Otolaryngology (Ear, Nose, and Throat [ENT] physicians).

Consult your physician to determine which physician should initiate the investigation of your child's sleep problem.

Some of the sleep disorders that are diagnosed and treated in the Sleep Center include:

  • Central sleep apneas
  • Daytime sleepiness
  • Hypoventilation disorders
  • Insomnias, such as difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep
  • Narcolepsy
  • Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome
  • Restless legs syndrome
  • Sleep disorders associated with ADHD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental disorders
