Westchester Medical Center Health Network Appoints Robert S. Ross as Executive Vice President for the Northern Region

Ross brings to WMCHealth more than 26 years of healthcare experience focused on leading strategic partnerships, developing clinical programs and integrating providers across the healthcare continuum.

Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) recently welcomed Robert S. Ross, FACHE, to the health network's leadership team as Executive Vice President for the Northern Region.

In his new role, Ross will serve as lead executive for the health network's hospitals in Dutchess, Ulster and Delaware counties working to advance an integrated delivery system in which patients have seamless access to care in the Hudson Valley communities where they live.

Ross will provide leadership and work collaboratively with hospital teams at MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie; HealthAlliance Hospital: Broadway Campus and HealthAlliance Hospital: Mary's Avenue Campus in Kingston; and Margaretville Hospital in Margaretville, all members of WMCHealth, with the goal of creating the necessary synergies and coordination of care needed as part of the combined regional presence, as well as forwarding the WMCHealth mission across the Hudson Valley.

Ross brings to WMCHealth more than 26 years of healthcare experience focused on leading strategic partnerships, developing clinical programs and integrating providers across the healthcare continuum.

A native of Brooklyn, Ross most recently served as the Chief Operating Officer at MedStar Washington Hospital Center in Washington, D.C., and previously served as President and CEO of St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, where he spent 14 years of his career. Ross holds a Master of Health Services Administration degree from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C., and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer and Information Sciences from Brooklyn College.

Ross and his wife are excited to be back in the Hudson Valley, living in Nyack, surrounded by their five sons and family. Ross enjoys cooking, hiking, traveling and playing softball and golf.
