Dr. Zaidman is a world-renowned ophthalmic surgeon with special expertise in corneal transplantation, corneal restoration, refractive surgery, and pediatric corneal and anterior segment surgery. He has performed more than 400 corneal transplants in children and over 3,000 in adults, a number exceeded by few ophthalmic surgeons in the country. He was fellowship-trained in cornea and external disease at the University of Pittsburgh and completed his ophthalmology residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City. Dr. Zaidman is a full professor at New York Medical College, the academic affiliate of Westchester Medical Center, and has worked at Westchester Medical Center for 30 years. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed publications and is a sought-after speaker at national and international conferences. Dr. Zaidman is a peer reviewer for all major ophthalmology journals and is Director of a charitable foundation dedicated to disseminating information on corneal diseases in infants and children. He has received both an honor award and a senior honor award from the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
