New Officers Take Posts January 1, 2016
VALHALLA, N.Y. (December 11, 2015) – Mitchell C. Hochberg has been named Chair of the Board of Directors of the Westchester County Health Care Corporation (WCHCC), which operates the Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth), the leading and pre-eminent provider of integrated health care services in the Hudson Valley.
“The new Westchester Medical Center Health Network (WMCHealth) is a $2 billion network with seven hospitals and a workforce of more than 10,000,” said WMCHealth’s outgoing Board Chair Mark Tulis. “Our Board remains committed to the unique mission of WMCHealth and its focus on providing the finest health care services as close to home as possible for the children and adults of our region. Mitchell Hochberg has the talent and strategic vision necessary to guide this organization through the certain changes, challenges and opportunities ahead.”
Hochberg said that he is “honored to chair the board of such a dynamic and mission-driven organization. My fellow board members and I are proud of all that our management team has accomplished over the past decade. I also want to thank Mark Tulis for the outstanding leadership that he has provided to WMCHealth as it takes its rightful place as the healthcare leader in our region.”
Hochberg has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2000 and most recently served as First Vice Chair, as well as Chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, and serves on several committees including Governance and Development. An Attorney at Law and a Certified Public Accountant, he is President and COO of The Lightstone Group. He also serves on the Board of Directors of Belmond Ltd. (NYSE: BEL) and is Chairman of the Investment Committee.
The remainder of the 2016 Board of Directors’ slate of officers includes: Zubeen Shroff, First Vice Chair and Treasurer; Susan Gevertz, Vice Chair; Mark Tulis, Vice Chair; John F. Heimerdinger, Secretary.
