“Today’s New York State grant awards are transformational for the Westchester Medical Center Health Network,” said Michael D. Israel, WMCHealth President and CEO. “The infusion of $24.5 million toward the development of a robust medical village in Port Jervis is critical to the continued provision of healthcare services for that community. Additionally, our ongoing affiliation talks with HealthAlliance are certainly strengthened and advanced based on our shared vision for an innovative healthcare delivery system in Kingston.”

“This award recognizes the importance of the care and service that our organization provides to the people of the Port Jervis area,” said Mary Leahy, M.D., President and CEO of the Bon Secours Charity Health System, a member of the Westchester Medical Center Health Network. “Improved access to critical and necessary services have always been at the heart of Bon Secours Community Hospital’s mission. Today, our broader vision is to improve access to additional healthcare and health-related services, address disparities where they exist and enhance the health and well-being of those we serve.”
